Some Bad News, and some good news as well

Hey All, Unfortunately, we have had to pull off of the Thrice dates. We are not certain we will be finished recording the new record in time to get to the East Coast for the shows. We are sorry and we will have some other dates in those cities very soon. On a different note, we have confirmed that we will be playing at Skate and Surf in Asbury Park on Saturday April 17. We will be playing the main stage. AS soon as we know what time, we will hook it up. Thanks. xoxoxoxo

JANUARY 17, 2004- MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE HAS THE BEST FANS IN THE WORLD AND WE ARE OFF TO MAKE A NEW RECORD FOR YOU ALL!!!!!!

So we just got back from the UK and must send out the most sincere thank you to all of you who came to our shows in Manchester, Birmingham, and London. The shows were more than anything the band has ever expected. Who would have ever thought that we could go to the UK and sell out 3 Shows in a row!!!! Thank you all. We will be back as soon as we can. In other news, we have chosen to have Howard Benson produce our next record and we are off to record in one week. This week will be spent putting some finishing touches on some songs, hanging out with friends and family, and getting excited for what we are about to go do. We have 16 songs or so written now, with more to come. We do not know how long it will take to record it, but we hope not too long. It is going to be our hardest and darkest music yet. We promise to give everything that we have to make sure that all of your waiting is validated. Remember, this music is yours to take from as much as it is ours to give. We promise to keep the site updated while we are in the studio. With that said, please keep up the support for MCR wherever and whenever you can. Unleash the Revenge!!!

It is very pleasing to announce that we have been added to this coming year\'s Warped Tour. We will know more information soon on what exactly the dates are and who else is on the Tour. So far we know that Taking Back Sunday, New Found Glory, The Bouncing Souls, Anti-Flag, The Casualties, Yellowcard, Coheed & Cambria, and Rise Aginst will all be on the tour. Vacation time! Ummm...sort of... Wow. We're home. Its so strange being home knowing that we don't have to leave again for tour after three or four days. I actually unpacked my luggage, which I haven't done in nearly 6 months. I can't really describe how excited we all are to spend time with family and friends for two whole months! Being away from home definitely makes us cherish the time we have here that much more, and I hope all of you cherish your friends and family as well. Speaking of cherishing things, we cherish each and every one of you who has ever come to one of our shows, bought some merch, taken the time out of their day to say hi to us before or after we play, emailed or posted on our message board...you guys and gals are our family too. Know that even on our time off, you are all in our thoughts. Tomorrow is our sweet return to playing a show in Jersey. Its at the Bloomfield Ave Cafe in Montclair, NJ. We expect to see a lot of old and new faces. Our excitement level for this show is immeasurable. Home for a day, the road for a lifetime... What's up everybody! We posted the latest dates today for the Give Up The Ghost tour. We should also have info on the show we're doing in place of Krome really soon. Sorry for the lack of updates and not replying to some emails, our power supply for our laptop is busted! We've been desperately trying to find one, but apparently no stores have it in stock. Sigh...such is life I guess. What else has been going on? Hmmm...we had an awesome time at Skate and Surf! It was an awesome homecoming for us and it was great playing with so many great bands. It was so good to see so many friends, plus Andrew WK! Man does he rock. Upcoming tours... Hello all! News on upcoming tours is coming in soon. In mid May/early June we will be out with Give Up The Ghost(formerly American Nightmare) and in August/September we'll be out with Reggie And The Full Effect and Midtown. We'll get dates posted as soon as we get them! -r

Important news on the June 6th Krome Show... We have decided not to play the show on June 6th at Klub Krome. Instead we are going to play a local show put on by a local promoter. The date has not been finalized yet, but it will not be long after June 6th. We will post all info as soon as we get it. We sincerely hope this does not cause a problem for anyone. For those who already bought tickets just to see us, please accept our apologies. We hope that Club Krome is doing refunds for those of you who wish not to attend the show. If they don't accept refunds, we will see if we can accept the unused ticket at the make-up show. We would rather you not request a refund and still go to the Krome show in support of Give Up The Ghost (formerly American Nightmare) and Everytime I Die. Both are amazing bands and are guaranteed to blow you away. In fact, they'll probably be chumping us the whole tour! We are sorry for any inconvenience we have caused. We remember growing up in a thriving independent scene and we feel the need to do what we can to support its growth once again. Please support local bands and venues, write a zine, or put on a show. This music belongs to all of us, it was there for us when no one else was, and its up to us to keep it going strong. See you at the show! MCR

On the road again... Today we begin our tour with Taking Back Sunday, From Autumn To Ashes, and Recover. To say we're excited is indeed an understatement. We really love and respect what these bands are doing, and can't wait to share the stage with them. We're also playing a few places we've never played before, and also revisiting some old favorites, so the excitement level in the band is very very high. Home Sweet Home! We're back from Europe! Thanks to everyone for being so kind to us and making us feel welcome. Seeing people from the UK, Germany, Spain, and Holland singing our stuff was one of the most amazing experiences ever. Four more days till the Stingrays show on March 22nd!!! Like the Boonton show, its gonna be another sweet homecoming for MCR. You guys will love Sleep Station and Murder By Death. Hey Good Lookin'! We need your help! I've come to realize (much like the rest of you) that the pictures on our website are horribly out of date. Just look at the picture of me at the top of the website...I'm sooo much handsomer than that! If anyone has pictures of us from the past few months (especially the Columbus show where my face was covered in blood) then send them to raytoro@comcast.net and we'll get them up as soon as possible. If you can, try to send zipped files and keep them under 5 megs to make sure they get to us. Please include your name and we'll give you proper credit on our photos page. We still haven't gotten concrete info for the European dates we're doing with the Used, but if you go to their webpage, we should be on most if not all of their European dates. Hopefully we'll be getting those dates soon. Also wanted to send a quick thanks to everyone who's been coming to the shows, and all the new friends we've met on our travels.
